Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Lead experimental quantum computing projects using superconducting qubits
- Collaborate with hardware teams to mitigate quantum decoherence
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Secure NSF grants and DARPA partnerships for quantum research
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Present findings at IEEE Quantum Week and APS March Meeting
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (2020-2023 graduates encouraged)
- 3+ years of quantum programming experience with Qiskit or Cirq
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature/Science/PRX Quantum)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and topological qubits
- Strong background in condensed matter physics or quantum information
- Experience with cryogenic systems and microwave control electronics
- Proven track record of securing research funding
