Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to mitigate quantum decoherence and error correction
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Lead cross-functional projects with AI/ML and cybersecurity divisions
- Secure $2M+ in annual government and industry research grants
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Present breakthroughs at international conferences (QIP, IEEE Quantum Week)
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information with 3+ years postdoc experience
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics at graduate level
- Track record of securing NSF/DARPA grants or industry partnerships
- Expertise in high-performance computing environments (HPC, cloud-based)
- Experience with machine learning for quantum system optimization
