Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Develop error-correction protocols to enhance quantum system stability beyond current limitations
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen quantum hardware architectures
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at global quantum symposia
- Collaborate with government agencies on quantum security standards for 2026 infrastructure
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants through NSF and DARPA partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record publishing in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and circuit optimization
- Deep understanding of topological quantum computing and fault-tolerant systems
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware and microwave control systems
- Strong background in quantum cryptography and post-quantum security frameworks
- Ability to translate complex theoretical concepts into practical engineering solutions
- Preferred: Prior work with 100+ qubit systems or quantum supremacy demonstrations
