Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum hardware-software interfaces
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals and top-tier conferences
- Secure multi-million dollar research grants through NSF/DARPA proposals
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Partner with industry leaders to commercialize quantum breakthroughs
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Computational Mathematics
- 5+ years in quantum computing research with published papers in QIP/APS
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and Qiskit/Cirq frameworks
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
- Experience with superconducting/ion-trap quantum processors
- Track record of securing federal research grants
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
