Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical industrial applications
- Lead quantum hardware optimization projects in collaboration with engineering teams
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Develop error-correction protocols for quantum systems
- Mentor junior researchers and collaborate with academic partners
- Secure research grants from government and private funding sources
- Translate theoretical models into functional quantum computing prototypes
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Strong publication record in quantum computing or theoretical physics
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Experience with high-performance computing environments
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics and linear algebra
- Ability to secure federal research funding (NSF, DOE, DARPA)
