Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Develop error-correction protocols for quantum hardware systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in translating theoretical models into practical quantum applications
- Publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to improve qubit stability and coherence times
- Secure $1M+ in quantum computing research grants annually
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science programs
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years research experience
- Published 10+ papers in Nature/Science or equivalent top-tier journals
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and superconducting qubits
- Demonstrated ability to secure NSF or DARPA quantum research funding
- Expertise in quantum error correction and topological quantum computing
- Strong background in machine learning for quantum applications
