Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical commercial applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using proprietary hardware
- Develop error-correction frameworks to overcome quantum decoherence challenges
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE conferences
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Secure $5M+ in DARPA/NIST grants for 2026 quantum roadmap initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science from Tier 1 institution
- 3+ years hands-on experience with superconducting qubit systems or ion traps
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature/Science)
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or custom quantum circuit simulators
- Expertise in quantum error correction and topological quantum computing
- Track record of securing federal research grants
- Clearance for DoD quantum security protocols preferred
