Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype quantum processors at cryogenic temperatures
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals and present at QIP conferences
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to translate theoretical models into physical qubit architectures
- Secure $2M+ in government grants and corporate partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and topological quantum computing
- Strong background in machine learning frameworks integrated with quantum systems
- Proven track record of securing research funding or industry partnerships
