Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead research in quantum error correction techniques to enhance qubit stability
- Develop quantum software architectures compatible with emerging hardware platforms
- Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals and industry conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and foster cross-functional collaboration with engineering teams
- Secure external funding through NSF, DOE, and DARPA grant applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related quantum field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Quipper)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and quantum mechanics
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, or IonQ)
- Ability to translate complex theoretical concepts into practical implementations
