Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum circuit performance
- Lead research initiatives in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Develop quantum machine learning frameworks for predictive analytics
- Publish findings in Nature Physics/Science and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $2M+ in NSF/DARPA grants for quantum research initiatives
- Mentor PhD interns in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or error correction
- Expertise in quantum circuit optimization and noise modeling
- Familiarity with superconducting or photonic quantum systems
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters
- Track record of securing research funding
