Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experiments on 100+ qubit quantum processors using proprietary control systems
- Develop error-correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into experimental blueprints
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure $5M+ in government and private research funding annually
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years industry experience
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals (e.g., PRA, Quantum)
- Expertise in quantum circuit design using Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent frameworks
- Proficiency with quantum simulation tools (Q#, Qutip) and HPC environments
- Demonstrated ability to lead multi-year research projects with measurable outcomes
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and information theory
- Security clearance eligibility for DoE/NASA partnerships
