Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms leveraging superposition and entanglement principles
- Build and optimize quantum circuits on IBM, Rigetti, and D-Wave platforms
- Lead research on quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Translate theoretical models into practical implementations using Python and Qiskit
- Mentor junior researchers and publish 2-3 high-impact papers annually
- Partner with hardware teams to co-design next-generation quantum processors
- Secure $500K+ in annual research grants and partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Expertise in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Proficiency with Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
- Experience with cloud quantum computing platforms (AWS Braket, Azure Quantum)
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding and lead cross-disciplinary teams
