Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for cryptography optimization and machine learning acceleration
- Lead experimental quantum hardware integration projects with cryogenic systems
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum processors
- Collaborate with AI teams to create quantum-classical hybrid computing frameworks
- Publish breakthrough research in leading quantum physics journals
- Secure $5M+ in quantum computing grants through NSF and DoD partnerships
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum circuit optimization techniques
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, or Cirq)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature Quantum, PRX Quantum)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation strategies
- Proficiency with high-performance computing environments (HPC/Cloud)
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Experience securing government or corporate R&D funding
