Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for cryptography and optimization problems
- Lead experiments on cryogenic quantum processors to validate error correction protocols
- Collaborate with materials scientists to develop scalable qubit architectures
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical machine learning frameworks for 2026-era AI systems
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers and publish 3+ high-impact papers annually
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years industry experience
- Proven expertise in quantum algorithm design (Shor's, Grover's, QAOA)
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum hardware
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research grants
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
