Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop quantum-resistant encryption protocols
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize qubit coherence and error correction
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $1M+ in annual research grants from government and private institutions
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Develop patentable quantum computing frameworks for commercial applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 5+ years of experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
- Experience securing government research grants (NSF/DARPA)
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum circuit optimization
