Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning
- Develop quantum error mitigation protocols for practical fault-tolerant computing
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to translate theoretical models into executable quantum circuits
- Lead cross-functional research projects with academic and industrial partners
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international quantum computing conferences
- Contribute to quantum software development frameworks and SDKs
- Secure patents for proprietary quantum methodologies and systems
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Proven track record publishing in Nature/Science or equivalent quantum computing journals
- Strong background in quantum information theory and many-body quantum systems
- Experience with high-performance computing and parallel processing architectures
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum simulation frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding (NSF, DOE, industry grants)
