Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead quantum hardware-software integration projects with superconducting and photonic systems
- Develop error-correction techniques for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at IEEE/ACM conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and establish industry partnerships for quantum ecosystem growth
- Secure and manage $5M+ research grants from NSF, DARPA, and private foundations
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and circuit optimization
- Proven track record of publications in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and topological quantum computing
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and photonic quantum processors
- Strong Python/C++ skills and familiarity with high-performance computing frameworks
- Ability to secure competitive research funding and lead cross-functional teams
