Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for cryptography and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum processors at 500+ qubit scale
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals with 2026 deployment targets
- Secure $2M+ in DARPA/NASA grants for quantum supremacy initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum error correction methodologies
- Develop patent portfolios for quantum-resistant encryption standards
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (2018-2023)
- 3+ years experience with superconducting qubit systems or ion traps
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Proficiency in Qiskit/Cirq and Python for quantum simulations
- Track record of securing federal research grants
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation techniques
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware integration
