Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead research on quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop quantum processor architectures
- Publish high-impact research in leading journals and conferences
- Secure federal and private research grants totaling $2M+
- Mentor junior researchers and PhD candidates
- Translate theoretical breakthroughs into practical industry applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction protocols
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Experience with cloud-based quantum computing platforms
- Track record of securing competitive research grants
