Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems in cryptography and machine learning
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims on 100+ qubit systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant computing
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Develop open-source quantum computing frameworks for the research community
- Mentor junior researchers and supervise graduate interns from partner universities
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years industry experience
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Experience with superconducting qubit systems or trapped-ion quantum processors
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research grants (NSF/DOE)
- Expertise in high-performance computing architectures and parallel processing
- Strong track record of cross-disciplinary collaboration with materials science and AI teams
