Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error correction protocols to enhance qubit stability in multi-qubit systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to prototype quantum processor architectures
- Lead research initiatives targeting quantum advantage in machine learning applications
- Author peer-reviewed publications and present findings at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory and experimental methods
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics principles and quantum information theory
- Proficiency in Python and high-performance computing environments
- Demonstrated ability to work with cryogenic quantum hardware systems
- Strong track record of securing research funding or industry partnerships
