Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead research on fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures for 2026 deployment
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop quantum error correction methodologies
- Publish high-impact research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure government and private research funding through grant proposals
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum literacy initiatives
- Develop intellectual property portfolios with 5+ patent applications annually
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum information theory or quantum algorithms
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum systems
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding (> $1M)
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
