Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for next-generation computing applications
- Lead experimental research in quantum error correction and coherence optimization
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions into commercial systems
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum literacy across the organization
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Q, Rigetti, or similar)
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Quil)
- Published research in quantum information theory or topological quantum computing
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and statistical mechanics
- Proven track record of securing competitive research grants
- US citizenship required for government contract compliance
