What You'll Accomplish:
- Design and implement novel quantum circuits for optimization problems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical frameworks for real-world applications
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into functional systems
- Lead cross-functional projects with AI specialists and materials scientists
Responsibilities
- Architect quantum algorithms targeting 1000+ qubit systems
- Optimize quantum error correction codes for fault-tolerant operations
- Simulate quantum dynamics using high-performance computing clusters
- Secure research grants from NSF and DARPA programs
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Present findings at IEEE Quantum Week and APS March Meeting
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Engineering
- 3+ years experience with Qiskit, Cirq, or PennyLane frameworks
- Published research in Nature/Science quantum computing papers
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with parallel computing skills
- Security clearance eligibility (DoD projects)
