Responsibilities
- Architect Design: Design and optimize scalable quantum circuit architectures for near-term and fault-tolerant quantum computers.
- Algorithm Development: Develop and implement novel quantum algorithms to solve complex optimization and simulation problems.
- Error Mitigation: Lead research into error correction codes and noise mitigation strategies to improve quantum processor reliability.
- Collaboration: Partner closely with hardware engineers to co-design systems that maximize qubit coherence and fidelity.
- Technical Leadership: Mentor junior engineers and researchers, fostering a culture of innovation and rigorous scientific inquiry.
- Prototyping: Build and validate proof-of-concept prototypes using current quantum simulators and hardware platforms.
Qualifications
- Education: Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field with a focus on Quantum Information Science.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantum computing, quantum information theory, or advanced simulation software.
- Programming: Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum programming frameworks such as Qiskit, Cirq, or Pennylane.
- Mathematics: Strong command of linear algebra, complex analysis, and probability theory.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to tackle abstract problems and translate them into concrete engineering solutions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical presentations and documentation.
