Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable quantum computing hardware architectures with 99.9% uptime reliability
- Develop cryogenic cooling systems supporting 100+ qubit coherence at millikelvin temperatures Integrate quantum-classical hybrid computing frameworks for enterprise solutions
- Lead cross-functional teams in deploying quantum-secure communication networks
- Optimize quantum error correction algorithms for real-time industrial applications
- Document quantum system performance metrics and failure analysis protocols
- Mentor junior engineers in quantum hardware troubleshooting methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related field (MS with 5+ years experience considered)
- Expertise in superconducting qubit manipulation and control systems
- Proficiency with cryogenic engineering and dilution refrigerator maintenance
- Strong background in quantum error correction codes (surface, surface, LDPC)
- Experience with quantum circuit optimization and compilation tools
- Published research in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Familiarity with NISQ-era hardware limitations and mitigation strategies
