Responsibilities
- Architect scalable quantum computing hardware systems with 1000+ qubit stability
- Develop cryogenic control systems for sub-10mK operating environments
- Design fault-tolerant quantum networks with 99.999% fidelity
- Implement quantum error correction protocols for real-world applications
- Lead integration of quantum-classical hybrid computing workflows
- Optimize quantum annealing algorithms for logistics and cryptography challenges
- Collaborate with AI teams to develop quantum machine learning frameworks
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in quantum hardware development or cryogenic engineering
- Expertise in superconducting qubit manipulation and control electronics
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq) and assembly
- Experience with quantum error correction codes (surface, color, LDPC)
- Prior work with quantum annealing systems (D-Wave, Rigetti) required
- Strong background in high-performance computing architectures
- Published research in quantum information science preferred
