Responsibilities
- Develop High-Performance 2D Rendering Pipelines: Utilize industry-standard engines (Unity 2D or Unreal Engine 2D) to build custom rendering shaders and visual effects.
- Collaborate on Art Direction: Partner closely with art directors and concept artists to implement pixel-perfect graphics and dynamic UI systems.
- Optimize Performance: Write efficient C# or C++ code to ensure 60+ FPS stability across various mobile and desktop devices.
- Technical Implementation: Integrate 2D assets, manage sprite atlases, and handle complex collision detection and physics.
- Code Quality: Maintain a clean, modular, and scalable codebase with comprehensive unit tests.
- Debug & Innovate: Troubleshoot complex graphical artifacts and implement innovative visual solutions to enhance gameplay immersion.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in 2D game development or graphics programming.
- Languages: Proficiency in C#, C++, or HLSL/GLSL.
- Math Skills: Strong understanding of 2D vector math, linear algebra, and coordinate systems.
- Tools: Extensive experience with Unity (2D Toolkit) or Unreal Engine 2D tools.
- Portfolio: A robust portfolio demonstrating strong technical 2D implementation, not just art.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
