We are looking for a visionary Senior 2D Web Animator to join our elite creative studio in San Francisco. In this pivotal role, you will bridge the gap between artistic direction and technical execution, creating fluid, interactive 2D animations that drive user engagement and elevate brand storytelling.
Our team is obsessed with pixel-perfect motion and seamless performance. You will work directly with product managers and front-end developers to translate static assets into dynamic web experiences that captivate users and meet rigorous accessibility standards.
Responsibilities
- Design and produce high-fidelity 2D motion graphics and animations optimized for web interfaces and responsive layouts.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (UX/UI, Engineering) to align creative vision with technical constraints and product goals.
- Optimize animation assets for maximum performance, ensuring smooth playback across all devices and browsers.
- Create interactive prototypes and storyboards using industry-standard tools to communicate design concepts effectively.
- Maintain and evolve the company’s design system, animation libraries, and style guides to ensure consistency.
- Conduct motion design research and present creative concepts to stakeholders with persuasive visual narratives.
- Stay ahead of industry trends in 2D animation and web technologies to continuously improve our creative output.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience in 2D animation, motion graphics, or motion design for the web.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Figma.
- Strong understanding of web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript basics).
- Excellent portfolio demonstrating web-appropriate motion work with a focus on timing, spacing, and user interaction.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, agile environment while meeting tight deadlines.
- Experience with version control systems (Git) is a plus.
- Degree in Graphic Design, Animation, or a related field.
