Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging tech trends (quantum, bio-convergence, AGI) to develop 5-year strategic innovation frameworks
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping and validating futuristic concepts with rapid experimentation cycles
- Establish partnerships with academic labs and research institutions for cutting-edge R&D
- Present futuristic vision to C-suite and investors using immersive data visualization tools
- Develop patentable IP portfolios in emerging domains
- Mentor junior futurists through our Innovation Academy program
- Author annual 'State of the Future' industry reports
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic innovation, futurism, or R&D leadership
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or equivalent experience
- Proven track record of launching breakthrough products with $50M+ revenue impact
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, synthetic biology, neuromorphic computing)
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry whitepapers
- Experience with scenario planning tools and horizon scanning methodologies
- Exceptional storytelling skills for complex technical concepts
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ future-shaping projects
