Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging technologies, geopolitical shifts, and sociocultural trends to develop 5-10 year strategic foresight frameworks
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype future-facing solutions in quantum computing, biotech, and decentralized systems
- Author high-impact scenario reports and trend briefs for executive decision-making and investor communications
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions, government labs, and global innovation hubs
- Design and implement foresight methodologies including horizon scanning, Delphi studies, and trend impact analysis
- Champion ethical innovation principles across product development and corporate strategy
- Mentor junior futurists and innovation specialists to build organizational foresight capabilities
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Technology Forecasting, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 10+ years experience in strategic innovation, R&D leadership, or futures research at Fortune 500 scale
- Proven expertise in emerging technologies: quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI, and climate tech
- Exceptional scenario planning and systems thinking capabilities with published foresight work
- Deep understanding of global megatrends: demographic shifts, climate resilience, and digital sovereignty
- Fluency in foresight methodologies (e.g., STEEP analysis, causal layered analysis, backcasting)
- Experience advising C-suite on technological disruption and strategic pivots
- Portfolio demonstrating innovation frameworks implemented in complex organizations
