What you'll achieve: Design 5-year technology adoption roadmaps, establish industry-first partnerships with research institutions, and lead patent development in emerging fields. You'll directly influence our $2B R&D portfolio while mentoring next-generation futurists.
Responsibilities
- Develop predictive technology impact models for AI, quantum, and biotech sectors
- Lead scenario planning workshops for C-suite executives
- Establish academic-industry partnerships with MIT, Stanford, and ETH Zurich
- Drive patent strategy in emerging domains (minimum 3 filings/year)
- Create quarterly trend reports influencing $2B R&D allocation
- Mentor junior futurists through structured innovation programs
- Present findings at Davos, TED, and industry summits
Qualifications
- PhD in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 10+ years in strategic foresight or R&D leadership
- Published research in Nature/Science on technology forecasting
- Proficiency in Delphi method and horizon scanning techniques
- Track record of commercializing emerging technologies
- Deep understanding of singularity theory and exponential growth models
- Fluency in at least two programming languages (Python/R preferred)
