Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error correction protocols for quantum processors operating at millikelvin temperatures
- Collaborate with hardware teams to calibrate superconducting qubits and quantum sensors
- Create quantum machine learning frameworks hybridized with classical computing
- Lead research initiatives in topological quantum computing and fault-tolerant architectures
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature Physics and IEEE Transactions on Quantum Engineering
- Mentor junior engineers in quantum circuit design and measurement techniques
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with 5+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Quil) and quantum circuit optimization
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes (surface, color, LDPC codes)
- Proficiency in cryogenic systems and quantum control electronics
- Publication record in quantum computing or condensed matter physics
- Experience with quantum annealing platforms (D-Wave, Rigetti) and superconducting processors
- Strong background in linear algebra, statistical mechanics, and information theory
- Ability to translate complex quantum phenomena into practical engineering solutions
