Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design and implementation of the Smart City framework for the 2026 World Cup venues and surrounding transit networks.
- Integrate IoT sensors and data collection points to optimize real-time traffic management, crowd control, and energy consumption.
- Collaborate with civil engineers, urban planners, and software developers to ensure seamless interoperability between legacy systems and new 5G deployments.
- Oversee the security and privacy protocols for the massive influx of data generated during the event.
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation of network infrastructure to ensure zero downtime during high-traffic periods.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Smart City technology, IoT deployment, or large-scale network infrastructure.
- Deep understanding of 5G networks, edge computing, and cloud-based data management.
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams in high-stakes environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
