Responsibilities
- Manage weekend staff schedules and delegate daily tasks to 8-10 team members
- Oversee guest check-in/check-out processes and resolve escalated service issues
- Coordinate housekeeping operations for 120+ rooms during peak weekend occupancy
- Train new staff on hotel systems and service standards
- Conduct nightly audits of financial transactions and inventory
- Implement safety protocols during emergency scenarios
- Collaborate with maintenance team for facility upkeep
Qualifications
- 3+ years hotel/hospitality experience with weekend shift leadership
- Proficiency in Opera PMS or similar hotel management software
- California Food Handler and ServSafe certifications required
- Ability to work Saturdays/Sundays 6AM-2PM or 2PM-10PM
- Strong conflict resolution and multitasking abilities
- Valid California driver's license for valet operations
- Basic knowledge of Oakland tourism attractions
