Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive 2026 innovation roadmap integrating AI, biotech, and quantum computing trends
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen solutions for sustainable smart cities
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies and market shifts
- Present strategic foresight insights to C-suite and external stakeholders
- Drive R&D initiatives with $5M+ annual innovation budget
- Partner with MIT Future Labs and Stanford AI Research for cutting-edge collaboration
- Mentor junior futurists and build an internal innovation incubation program
Qualifications
- 10+ years in innovation strategy, futures research, or emerging tech leadership
- Proven track record of scaling futuristic concepts to commercial viability
- Deep expertise in at least two of: AI ethics, neurotechnology, or climate tech
- Published thought leadership in futurist journals or tech publications
- Advanced degree in Futurology, Systems Engineering, or related field
- Experience securing multi-million dollar innovation grants
- Fluency in strategic foresight frameworks (e.g., Delphi, Scenario Planning)
- Portfolio showcasing 3+ future-shaping projects launched since 2020
