Responsibilities
- Check guests in/out efficiently using PMS systems while maintaining accuracy in all transactions
- Manage reservations, room assignments, and room status updates in real-time
- Provide personalized concierge services including restaurant bookings, transportation arrangements, and local attraction recommendations
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve complaints with professionalism and empathy
- Process payments and manage cash handling procedures according to company standards
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and security departments to ensure seamless operations
- Maintain organized front desk areas and ensure all materials are readily accessible
- Participate in daily briefings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality certification preferred
- Minimum 6 months customer service experience in high-volume environments
- Proficiency in reservation systems (Opera, Cloudbeds, or similar)
- Exceptional communication skills with fluency in English; additional languages a plus
- Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
- Professional appearance and demeanor reflecting luxury brand standards
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic knowledge of NYC attractions, transportation, and emergency protocols
