We are looking for a welcoming and professional Front Desk Agent to join our award-winning team at The Austin Grand Hotel. As the face of our establishment, you will play a pivotal role in creating a seamless and memorable experience for every guest who walks through our doors.
In this full-time role, you will manage the front desk operations, ensuring that check-ins and check-outs are handled with precision and warmth. You will be the first point of contact for our guests, answering inquiries about our amenities and the local area, and resolving any issues with grace and efficiency. Responsibilities
- Perform efficient check-ins and check-outs for guests, verifying information and processing payments accurately.
- Answer incoming phone calls and emails, providing information regarding reservations, hotel services, and local attractions.
- Maintain the lobby area to ensure a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.
- Address guest complaints or special requests promptly, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Assist in promoting hotel packages and upselling services to enhance the guest experience.
- Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure rooms are ready for arrival.
- Manage the hotelβs key control system and security protocols.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; hospitality or business coursework is a plus.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a front desk, reception, or customer service role.
- Proficient in using property management systems (PMS) such as Opera or similar.
- Strong verbal communication skills and a professional, welcoming demeanor.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and evening shifts.
- Basic computer literacy and attention to detail.
