Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, ensuring a smooth and welcoming check-in process.
- Manage daily reservations, modify bookings, and process check-outs efficiently using PMS software.
- Answer and direct phone calls and emails, handling inquiries regarding services, amenities, and local DC attractions.
- Handle all financial transactions accurately, including cash, credit, and check payments, balancing daily reports.
- Maintain the front desk area and lobby to meet high standards of cleanliness and organization.
- Assist guests with special requests, such as transportation, dining reservations, and sightseeing recommendations.
- Resolve guest complaints or issues professionally and promptly to ensure satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a front desk, concierge, or guest services role preferred.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills with a strong focus on customer service.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and hotel Property Management Systems (PMS).
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
- Must present a professional appearance and adhere to the company's grooming standards.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
- High school diploma or GED required.
