Responsibilities
- Guest Relations: Greet guests warmly upon arrival, check guests in/out efficiently using our Property Management System (PMS).
- Communication: Answer phone calls and emails promptly, answering questions regarding local attractions, dining, and hotel amenities.
- Concierge Services: Provide recommendations for the best Cajun cuisine and jazz clubs in New Orleans.
- Reservations: Assist with room bookings and manage special requests to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Front Desk Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the reception area and lobby.
- Cash Handling: Process payments accurately and balance the till at the end of the shift.
- Security: Verify guest identification and ensure the safety and security of the hotel premises.
Qualifications
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy; we will train you on our specific software.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts.
- Language: English proficiency required; bilingual candidates are a plus.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods and lift light objects (up to 20 lbs).
