Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee the daily operations of the front desk, ensuring efficient check-in/check-out processes and smooth coordination with housekeeping and maintenance.
- Team Management: Supervise, train, and mentor front desk staff, conducting performance reviews and scheduling shifts to optimize coverage.
- Guest Relations: Address high-level guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests with professionalism, ensuring a 5-star experience.
- Revenue Management: Monitor room rates and occupancy levels, utilizing PMS software to maximize revenue opportunities.
- Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate guest records, process invoices, and handle cash handling and credit card transactions with strict compliance.
- Policy Compliance: Enforce hotel policies and local health and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive experience in hotel front office operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or management role.
- Skills: Proficiency in property management systems (PMS) such as Opera, Front Desk Pro, or similar software.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; bi-lingual skills are a plus.
- Problem Solving: Strong conflict resolution abilities and the capacity to make quick, informed decisions under pressure.
- Availability: Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by hotel occupancy.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Hospitality or Business is preferred.
