Responsibilities
- Architect and execute 2026 technology innovation strategy aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Lead R&D initiatives in emerging fields including quantum algorithms, neuromorphic computing, and carbon-neutral tech
- Manage $5M+ innovation portfolio, allocating resources to high-impact projects with exponential ROI potential
- Cultivate strategic partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and Fortune 500 companies
- Present breakthrough concepts to C-suite executives and external stakeholders
- Mentor cross-functional teams of engineers, designers, and data scientists
- Monitor global tech policy developments and adapt innovation strategies accordingly
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology leadership with 5+ years in emerging technologies or R&D management
- Proven track record of launching commercialized products from research concepts
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, AI ethics, biotech convergence, or climate tech
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Published research in peer-reviewed journals or major tech conferences
- Experience securing federal/state innovation grants (SBIR, DARPA, etc.)
- Deep understanding of global tech policy and regulatory landscapes
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse audiences
