Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee all hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and engineering, ensuring standards are consistently met.
- Financial Stewardship: Manage P&L statements, develop and execute annual budgets, and implement strategies to maximize profitability and occupancy rates.
- Guest Experience: Act as the primary ambassador for the hotel, personally engaging with VIP guests and resolving any issues to ensure 5-star satisfaction.
- Team Development: Recruit, train, and mentor a diverse staff, promoting a positive work environment and professional growth.
- Marketing & Sales: Collaborate with the sales team to drive group business and corporate partnerships, enhancing the hotel's market presence.
- Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as corporate policies and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in luxury hotel management, preferably in a high-volume property.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and driving results in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong command of hotel management software (e.g., Opera, Micros) and financial reporting tools.
- Local Knowledge: Deep understanding of the New Orleans hospitality landscape and community is a plus.
