Job Summary
The Hotel Manager is responsible for the overall operations of the property, ensuring that all departments run efficiently and that guests receive a world-class experience.
Responsibilities
- Operations Management: Oversee all daily hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage service to ensure seamless performance.
- Guest Relations: Maintain high standards of guest satisfaction by promptly addressing inquiries, complaints, and special requests.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise hotel staff, conducting regular performance reviews to foster professional growth.
- Financial Oversight: Monitor budgets, control expenses, and analyze financial reports to maximize revenue and profitability.
- Marketing & Sales: Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies for local events and corporate partnerships to boost occupancy.
- Compliance: Ensure the hotel adheres to all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies and safety standards.
- Emergency Response: Lead the team during emergency situations, ensuring the safety of guests and employees.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in hospitality management, preferably in a similar role within a mid-to-high-end hotel.
- Education: Bachelorβs degree in Hotel Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Property Management Systems (PMS) such as Opera, Micros, or similar software.
- Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Problem Solving: Proven ability to make sound decisions under pressure and resolve conflicts effectively.
