Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas (lobbies, corridors) to the highest standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Change bed linens, make beds according to hotel standards, and replenish amenities such as toiletries, towels, and soap.
- Perform thorough dusting, vacuuming, and polishing of furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.
- Empty trash cans and replace liners in guest rooms and common areas regularly.
- Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
- Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Interact professionally and courteously with guests to address requests and ensure a positive experience.
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or custodial experience is preferred but not always required.
- Ability to stand, walk, and exert physical effort for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy loads (up to 50 lbs) and move furniture or equipment as needed.
- Reliable transportation and a history of punctuality.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
