Responsibilities
- Manage the front desk operations during the night shift, including check-ins, check-outs, and key management.
- Reconcile daily hotel financial transactions, including room charges, folios, and credit card settlements.
- Monitor hotel security systems and ensure the safety and well-being of all guests and staff.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests via phone and in-person with a focus on problem resolution.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk area and public spaces.
- Assist in generating nightly reports and ensuring all documentation is accurate and filed promptly.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in Hospitality or Business preferred.
- Previous experience in a front desk or hospitality role is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in hotel Property Management Systems (PMS) such as Opera, Micros, or similar software.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a professional demeanor.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during night hours.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash and credit handling.
