Responsibilities
- Guest Services: Check guests in and out efficiently, answering questions about local attractions and hotel amenities.
- Accounting Reconciliation: Perform end-of-shift banking, credit card settlements, and daily financial reporting.
- System Management: Utilize hotel Property Management Systems (PMS) to update room status and guest folios accurately.
- Security & Safety: Conduct regular security checks of the property and lobby areas to ensure guest and staff safety.
- Front Desk Support: Handle phone inquiries and manage email correspondence during off-hours.
- Problem Resolution: Address guest complaints or issues immediately with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Administrative Tasks: File daily reports and maintain accurate records of night operations.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Hospitality or Accounting preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in hotel front desk or accounting is highly desirable.
- Availability: Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a consistent basis.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and hotel PMS software (e.g., Opera, Micros).
- Attention to Detail: Strong mathematical skills and the ability to spot discrepancies in financial reports.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
