Responsibilities
- Check guests in and out efficiently, ensuring all necessary information is collected and records are accurately maintained in our Property Management System (PMS).
- Answer a high volume of incoming calls and emails, responding to inquiries regarding room availability, rates, and hotel amenities with a professional tone.
- Process payments and handle guest requests, including wake-up calls, restaurant reservations, and local transportation arrangements.
- Maintain the front desk area in pristine condition, including the reception desk, waiting area, and lobby seating.
- Resolve guest complaints and concerns immediately and professionally, escalating complex issues to the Manager on Duty when necessary.
- Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure rooms are ready for check-in and any maintenance issues are addressed promptly.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; hospitality or business degree preferred.
- Previous experience in a hotel front desk or customer service role is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and standard Property Management Software (e.g., Opera, StayNTouch).
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights (up to 20 lbs) when assisting with luggage or supplies.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work well under pressure during peak check-in times.
- Fluency in English; bilingual candidates are a plus.
