Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests upon arrival with a warm, personalized demeanor, ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process.
- Manage daily front desk operations, including answering phones, managing email inquiries, and responding to guest requests efficiently.
- Handle guest complaints and concerns with patience and empathy, escalating complex issues to the management team as necessary.
- Maintain accurate guest records in the Property Management System (PMS) and handle cash and credit transactions with strict accuracy.
- Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest rooms and public areas are pristine and well-maintained.
- Stay updated on local attractions, events, and travel information to provide excellent recommendations to guests.
- Uphold all hotel policies and safety procedures to ensure a secure environment for guests and staff.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; hospitality or customer service certification is a plus.
- Previous experience in a front desk, reception, or customer service role preferred, though enthusiastic candidates with strong communication skills are encouraged to apply.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software (e.g., Opera, Smith Travel) is highly desirable.
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
- Must possess a friendly, approachable, and service-oriented attitude.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
