Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development and error-correction research for 2026 deployment targets
- Manage cross-disciplinary teams of physicists, engineers, and software developers
- Design and execute quantum hardware-software integration strategies
- Secure $5M+ in research funding through NIH/NSF/industry partnerships
- Publish 3+ peer-reviewed papers in top-tier journals annually
- Drive commercialization of quantum applications in cryptography and materials science
- Maintain strategic partnerships with IBM, Google Quantum, and MIT
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information with 8+ years R&D experience
- Proven track record in quantum algorithm development or quantum hardware
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Experience managing budgets >$3M and research teams >15 members
- Strong publication record in Nature/Science/Physical Review journals
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum simulation frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to translate research into commercial IP
